Q - I am not from New York which heliport do you recommend I use?
A - Our Downtown Manhattan Heliport at Pier 6 and The East River is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 6:30pm. Our VIP Heliport located at West 30th Street and 12th Avenue is open everyday of the year from 9:00am to 9:00pm. For more information please call 1-800-542-9933.

Q - How many people can ride in a helicopter?
A - Each of our helicopters seats up to 7 passengers plus the pilot.

Q - What days of the year are Liberty Helicopters closed?

Q - Do I need a reservation?
A - Please remember that all passengers must have a reservation to use our Downtown Pier 6 Heliport. Walk-in customers are permitted at our VIP Heliport at West 30th Street and 12th Avenue.

Q - I do not see flight times on your website. What times can I book my tour at?
A- You can pick any tour time at 15 intervals throughout the day from 9:00am to 9:00pm. You will need to arrive at the heliport thirty minutes prior to the tour time you selected. Please remember last flight at Downtown Heliport is at 6:00pm and West 30th Street and 12th Avenue is at 8:45pm.

Q - Is there public transportation to Liberty Helicopters?
A - For our Downtown Heliport please take the 1 or 9 South to the last stop in Manhattan called the South Ferry. Walk towards the South Street Seaport. We are a five to ten minute walk south of there. You can also take the N or R to the Whitehall Street Stop. By bus take the number 9 to South Street Seaport stop or the number 15 to the South Street Seaport stop.

Q - Are private tours available?
A - Yes, private tours are available. Contact our charter department and you will be able to design any route you wish.

Q - How long are your tours?
A - Our Lady Liberty and Taste of New York tours are both 5-7 minutes in length. Our Big Apple tour is 10-12 minutes in length and our New York, New York tour is 15-17 minutes in length.

Q - Is parking available at the heliport?
A - No, the closest parking area to our Downtown Heliport is at the South Street Seaport. We are a five to ten minute walk from there. The closest parking garage to our VIP Heliport at West 30th Street and 12th Avenue is located at 29th Street between 11th and 12th Avenues. There is sometimes parking on the northbound side of the West Side Highway.

Q - Do you have gift certificates available for purchase?
A - Yes we do. A gift certficate can purchased by calling 212-967-2099 ext 240. Any tour that is purchased as a gift certificate is valid 7 days a week and for one year from date of purchase. A $12.50 Federal Express fee will be added on to the total cost for domestic shipping. For international shipping please call for Federal Express rate.

Q - Do you provide photos for download that we can use for promotions?
A - Yes. You can download a photo from our photo gallery by clicking here.

Q- What happens if a buy a tour and my flight is cancelled due to weather?
A- Liberty Helicopters will do our best to reschedule your tour for another date and time. If we can not find an agreed upon date and time for your tour and you purchased your tour through this website we will refund you in full. If you purchase your tour through a 3rd party or affiliate you will need to call them directly to discuss rebooking and/or refund options.

Q- What if I buy a tour on your website and I don’t like the flight times or departure locations you offer me?
A- We recommend you call us before buying your tour to avoid any scheduling conflicts. If you buy a tour and we have space available to book your tour, at any of our three heliports, during the dates you are in New York and you want to cancel your reservation anyway, you will be charged a $25pp cancellation fee.
