The largest Helicopter Sightseeing and Charter Service in the Northeast. Liberty Helicopters is currently the only authorized Helicopter Sightseeing Company in New York City. We began in the charter business on April 10th, 1985, and added sightseeing tours of New York City originating from the VIP Heliport on September 6th, 1990. At this time, Liberty had begun an aggressive plan selling in both the domestic and international markets using its strong customer base affording us the opportunity to open a second location, the Downtown Manhattan Heliport in 1995. Liberty Helicopters was not only the first company to operate sightseeing tours from this multimillion dollar facility, but also the first to offer our customers the convenience of two Manhattan locations. Since opening Liberty continually receives the annual Safety Award from the Helicopter Association International, along with being the recipient of the Five Star Diamond Award for 1996, 1997, and 1998. This impressive record is in part due to the high caliber of our staff and the reliability of our equipment. All aircraft and flight crews are certified and inspected to meet the demanding standards of the Federal Aviation Administration.

ABOUT OUR HELICOPTERS

Liberty Helicopters primarily uses American Eurocopter products. The EC 130 is a 21st century helicopter with a culmination of 25 years of product development by Eurocopter on the AS350 series of helicopters. The EC 130 is a turbine engine helicopter - the most powerful in its class. It has the capacity to seat 7 passengers with one pilot; The EC 130 has four comfortable individual seats in the back of the aircraft, with three large comfortable individual passenger seats up front, beside the pilot. It boasts the most up to date safety and computer technology available. Our three new EC130 helicopters were added to our fleet in May of 2001.
